Ok, now that we have our picture down to a smaller size, create a new layer on top of it. Name the layer whatever you want. You may also use the picture I have provided to help you in this tutorial.

	Now, we will select the colors in which to create the base body with. I usually choose these three colors - mainly because you are only creating the base body, you don't need to do a whole lot on it right now, save for create it. Of course if you choose you may use as many colors as you want, and any color you want to as well.
	Now, outline the body. Use the darkest color on your palette. Since your base is sort of pixilated, there might be a little guess work involved, but not much. Also, it helps to keep the original large picture out as reference as well. Don't worry about the lightness of my picture, I have lightened the background so that you can see the outline I created.
	Flood fill the rest of the body with the next lightest color. You don't have to if you don't want to, of course, but I find it makes it a bit more easeir to shade in the body.
	Start to shade the body with the next lightest color.
	Here is the completed base body. You may add more highlights if you would like though, or more shading.
